Materials / Quarry & Aggregate

Basalt.

Basalt reduction for civil and infrastructure use. Heavy-duty multi-stage circuits producing high-strength sealing aggregate, road base, and asphalt feedstock.

What we crush

Basalt processed for civil and infrastructure use. High-strength aggregate for sealing, road base, asphalt manufacture, and structural concrete feedstock.

How we crush it

Basalt requires heavy-duty plant. Primary jaw with strong throat opening, secondary cone for cubical product shape, optional tertiary stage for fine fractions. Wear parts and maintenance schedules are calibrated for abrasive material.

Where we crush it

Victorian and South Australian quarry operators are the largest segments. Plant deployable to other states for civil infrastructure programmes of the right scale.

Typical output fractions

/ Confirmed per client spec at scoping

  • Primary crushed basalt (50-150mm)
  • Road base spec (20-40mm)
  • Sealing aggregate (7-14mm, 10-20mm)
  • Fines for asphalt manufacture
Service line

Best run as: Contract Crushing.

Mobile contract crushing and screening at scale. Single to multi-stage circuits, brought to your site and run to your spec. Built for partnerships measured in years, not weeks. Same service is sometimes called mobile crushing or mobile contract crushing. Same fleet, same crew, same standard.

/ FAQ

Basalt questions.

Can Rostrevor handle the wear from abrasive basalt?

Yes. Wear part schedules and maintenance windows are calibrated for the specific material. Structured preventative maintenance is built into every contract and campaign.

What basalt fractions do you produce?

Common civil fractions (50-150mm primary down through sealing aggregate and asphalt fines) plus client-specific spec sheets. Output is confirmed during scoping.
